Stage Malawi Muona Trinity Hospital
Omschrijving:
Nog even wachten en dan is het zover. 25 april vertrek ik voor 3 maanden lang om stage te lopen in het Trinity Hospital in Muona. Muona is een dorpje dat in het zuiden van Malawi ligt. Malawi ligt tussen Tanzania, Mozambique en Zambia.
Malawi is één van de armste landen ter wereld. Dit komt voornamelijk door het ontbreken van delfstoffen en het ontbreken van een zeehaven. De bevolking van Malawi leeft voornamelijk van veeteelt, tabak en visvangst uit het enorme Lake Malawi. Daarnaast is is er ook een aids-epidemie over heen gekomen. Wat een belangrijk deel van de economische productieve midden generatie heeft weggevaagd. Daarnaast is er ook sprake van ondervoeding bij kinderen. Dit resulteert in een hoge en onnodige kindersterfte. 18% van de kinderen haalt de leeftijd van 5 jaar niet.
Trinity Hospital
Trinity Hospital is een ziekenhuis met ongeveer 200 bedden. Het is 4,5 uur (als het droog weer is) rijden over een zandweg naar de dichtst bijzijnde stad (Blantyre). Het ziekenhuis bestaat uit een aantal afdelingen: verlosafdeling, man/vrouw afdeling, kinderafdeling en operatie afdeling. Al deze afdelingen ga ik af tijdens mijn stage. Daarnaast zorgt het ziekenhuis ook voor inentingen van kinderen. Dit gebeurt niet in het ziekenhuis maar onder een grote boom. Dit doen ze omdat voor veel mensen het ziekenhuis moeilijk te bereiken is. Dus ze komen naar de mensen toe. Dit gebeurt één keer per week. Ook hiervoor worden wij ingezet.
De (noodzakelijke) medische middelen zijn er niet of zeer beperkt. Dit vraagt dus om creatieve ingevingen.

Stage Malawi Muona Trinity Hospital
Omschrijving:
Nog even wachten en dan is het zover. 25 april vertrek ik voor 3 maanden lang om stage te lopen in het Trinity Hospital in Muona. Muona is een dorpje dat in het zuiden van Malawi ligt. Malawi ligt tussen Tanzania, Mozambique en Zambia.
Malawi is één van de armste landen ter wereld. Dit komt voornamelijk door het ontbreken van delfstoffen en het ontbreken van een zeehaven. De bevolking van Malawi leeft voornamelijk van veeteelt, tabak en visvangst uit het enorme Lake Malawi. Daarnaast is is er ook een aids-epidemie over heen gekomen. Wat een belangrijk deel van de economische productieve midden generatie heeft weggevaagd. Daarnaast is er ook sprake van ondervoeding bij kinderen. Dit resulteert in een hoge en onnodige kindersterfte. 18% van de kinderen haalt de leeftijd van 5 jaar niet.
Trinity Hospital
Trinity Hospital is een ziekenhuis met ongeveer 200 bedden. Het is 4,5 uur (als het droog weer is) rijden over een zandweg naar de dichtst bijzijnde stad (Blantyre). Het ziekenhuis bestaat uit een aantal afdelingen: verlosafdeling, man/vrouw afdeling, kinderafdeling en operatie afdeling. Al deze afdelingen ga ik af tijdens mijn stage. Daarnaast zorgt het ziekenhuis ook voor inentingen van kinderen. Dit gebeurt niet in het ziekenhuis maar onder een grote boom. Dit doen ze omdat voor veel mensen het ziekenhuis moeilijk te bereiken is. Dus ze komen naar de mensen toe. Dit gebeurt één keer per week. Ook hiervoor worden wij ingezet.
De (noodzakelijke) medische middelen zijn er niet of zeer beperkt. Dit vraagt dus om creatieve ingevingen.

Stage Malawi Muona Trinity Hospital
Omschrijving:
Nog even wachten en dan is het zover. 25 april vertrek ik voor 3 maanden lang om stage te lopen in het Trinity Hospital in Muona. Muona is een dorpje dat in het zuiden van Malawi ligt. Malawi ligt tussen Tanzania, Mozambique en Zambia.
Malawi is één van de armste landen ter wereld. Dit komt voornamelijk door het ontbreken van delfstoffen en het ontbreken van een zeehaven. De bevolking van Malawi leeft voornamelijk van veeteelt, tabak en visvangst uit het enorme Lake Malawi. Daarnaast is is er ook een aids-epidemie over heen gekomen. Wat een belangrijk deel van de economische productieve midden generatie heeft weggevaagd. Daarnaast is er ook sprake van ondervoeding bij kinderen. Dit resulteert in een hoge en onnodige kindersterfte. 18% van de kinderen haalt de leeftijd van 5 jaar niet.
Trinity Hospital
Trinity Hospital is een ziekenhuis met ongeveer 200 bedden. Het is 4,5 uur (als het droog weer is) rijden over een zandweg naar de dichtst bijzijnde stad (Blantyre). Het ziekenhuis bestaat uit een aantal afdelingen: verlosafdeling, man/vrouw afdeling, kinderafdeling en operatie afdeling. Al deze afdelingen ga ik af tijdens mijn stage. Daarnaast zorgt het ziekenhuis ook voor inentingen van kinderen. Dit gebeurt niet in het ziekenhuis maar onder een grote boom. Dit doen ze omdat voor veel mensen het ziekenhuis moeilijk te bereiken is. Dus ze komen naar de mensen toe. Dit gebeurt één keer per week. Ook hiervoor worden wij ingezet.
De (noodzakelijke) medische middelen zijn er niet of zeer beperkt. Dit vraagt dus om creatieve ingevingen.

Stage Malawi Muona Trinity Hospital
Omschrijving:
Nog even wachten en dan is het zover. 25 april vertrek ik voor 3 maanden lang om stage te lopen in het Trinity Hospital in Muona. Muona is een dorpje dat in het zuiden van Malawi ligt. Malawi ligt tussen Tanzania, Mozambique en Zambia.
Malawi is één van de armste landen ter wereld. Dit komt voornamelijk door het ontbreken van delfstoffen en het ontbreken van een zeehaven. De bevolking van Malawi leeft voornamelijk van veeteelt, tabak en visvangst uit het enorme Lake Malawi. Daarnaast is is er ook een aids-epidemie over heen gekomen. Wat een belangrijk deel van de economische productieve midden generatie heeft weggevaagd. Daarnaast is er ook sprake van ondervoeding bij kinderen. Dit resulteert in een hoge en onnodige kindersterfte. 18% van de kinderen haalt de leeftijd van 5 jaar niet.
Trinity Hospital
Trinity Hospital is een ziekenhuis met ongeveer 200 bedden. Het is 4,5 uur (als het droog weer is) rijden over een zandweg naar de dichtst bijzijnde stad (Blantyre). Het ziekenhuis bestaat uit een aantal afdelingen: verlosafdeling, man/vrouw afdeling, kinderafdeling en operatie afdeling. Al deze afdelingen ga ik af tijdens mijn stage. Daarnaast zorgt het ziekenhuis ook voor inentingen van kinderen. Dit gebeurt niet in het ziekenhuis maar onder een grote boom. Dit doen ze omdat voor veel mensen het ziekenhuis moeilijk te bereiken is. Dus ze komen naar de mensen toe. Dit gebeurt één keer per week. Ook hiervoor worden wij ingezet.
De (noodzakelijke) medische middelen zijn er niet of zeer beperkt. Dit vraagt dus om creatieve ingevingen.

[description] => Nog even wachten en dan is het zover. 25 april vertrek ik voor 3 maanden lang om stage te lopen in het Trinity Hospital in Muona. Muona is een dorpje dat in het zuiden van Malawi ligt. Malawi ligt tussen Tanzania, Mozambique en Zambia.
Malawi is één van de armste landen ter wereld. Dit komt voornamelijk door het ontbreken van delfstoffen en het ontbreken van een zeehaven. De bevolking van Malawi leeft voornamelijk van veeteelt, tabak en visvangst uit het enorme Lake Malawi. Daarnaast is is er ook een aids-epidemie over heen gekomen. Wat een belangrijk deel van de economische productieve midden generatie heeft weggevaagd. Daarnaast is er ook sprake van ondervoeding bij kinderen. Dit resulteert in een hoge en onnodige kindersterfte. 18% van de kinderen haalt de leeftijd van 5 jaar niet.
Trinity Hospital
Trinity Hospital is een ziekenhuis met ongeveer 200 bedden. Het is 4,5 uur (als het droog weer is) rijden over een zandweg naar de dichtst bijzijnde stad (Blantyre). Het ziekenhuis bestaat uit een aantal afdelingen: verlosafdeling, man/vrouw afdeling, kinderafdeling en operatie afdeling. Al deze afdelingen ga ik af tijdens mijn stage. Daarnaast zorgt het ziekenhuis ook voor inentingen van kinderen. Dit gebeurt niet in het ziekenhuis maar onder een grote boom. Dit doen ze omdat voor veel mensen het ziekenhuis moeilijk te bereiken is. Dus ze komen naar de mensen toe. Dit gebeurt één keer per week. Ook hiervoor worden wij ingezet.
De (noodzakelijke) medische middelen zijn er niet of zeer beperkt. Dit vraagt dus om creatieve ingevingen.
Kort om: een land en stage vol uitdagingen!
